2 Unlimited
2 Unlimited is a dance group founded in 1991 by Belgian producers Jean-Paul DeCoster and Phil Wilde and fronted by Dutch rapper Ray Slijngaard and Dutch vocalist Anita Doth.
During the first half of the 90's they had 16 world hits, including "Get Ready for This", "Twilight Zone", "No Limit", and "Tribal Dance, they dominated the house music scene in the 90's and sold more than 20 million albums worldwide!
The modest success of the first few singles prepared the way for 2 Unlimited's 1993 sophomore album No Limits. The title track hit number one in 15 European countries plus Canada, and other singles from the album also did well, including "Faces," "Maximum Overdrive" and "Let the Beat Control Your Body." Third album Real Things and the singles "The Real One," "No One," "Here I Go" continued the hit-making. The best-of album Hits Unlimited was the group's last release, as Slijngaard left to manage his X-Ray label and Doth moved into TV and radio talk shows (though she has recorded with Mad Cobra). In their career, they achieved Popprijs in 1993 and Worldmusic Awards.
On April 20, 2016, 2 Unlimited announced that Anita Doth would be leaving the band to embark on a solo career and on13 August 2016, Kim Vergouwen, being Anita's replacement, was revealed to the public via Ray Slijngaard's Facebook page. They still have performed together up to now.
