Since I was a little boy I have always had an interest in pop music. It wasn't until I was twelve that I discovered how much I liked writing songs. I started writing silly songs from existing songs like Britney's Oops! I Did It Again or the Spice Girls' Who Do You Think You Are. As I grew up I kept writing lyrics until one day I met a music producer in Amsterdam who could bring my lyrics to life. It's amazing to hear your songs come to life, so I decided to learn some guitar chords, so I could start making up melodies too. This resulted in the song Lost Another Chance which I would later record with the members of my Storm3 band.

And now I'm going in another direction. I've been writing lyrics and melodies on the rhythms. And although I'm aware that I'm not the best singer in the world, and that I still have a lot to learn, I decided to record and publish them on this EP anyway. I loved working on this project... and I'm already excited about Volume II! so I can keep improving. But most of all I'm doing this for me. Because I enjoy doing it. It's my way of telling stories. Desde que era un niño pequeño siempre he tenido interés en la música pop. No fue hasta los doce años cuando descubrí cuánto me gustaba escribir canciones. Empecé a escribir canciones tontas de canciones ya existentes como Britney's Oops!.. I Did It Again o las Spice Girls' Who Do You Think You Are. A medida que fui creciendo seguí escribiendo letras hasta que un día conocí a un productor musical en Ámsterdam que podía dar vida a mis letras. Es increíble escuchar tus canciones como cobran vida, así que decidí aprender algo de acordes de guitarra, para que yo también pudiera empezar a inventar melodías. Esto dio como resultado la canción Lost Another Chance que más tarde grabaría con los miembros de mi banda de Storm3.

Y ahora voy en otra dirección. He estado escribiendo letras y melodías sobre los ritmos. Y aunque soy consciente de que no soy el mejor cantante del mundo, y que todavía tengo mucho que aprender, decidí grabarlos y publicarlos en este EP de todos modos. Me encantó trabajar en este proyecto… ¡y ya estoy emocionado por el Volumen II!  para poder seguir mejorando. Pero sobre todo estoy haciendo esto por mí. Porque disfruto haciéndolo. Es mi forma de contar historias. Y de una forma u otra, ¡todos somos narradores de historias! - Rafael de la Rie
