Melancholy contains 4 previous releases by Shyla Roe as well as six new tracks: the lead single from the album Similarly, the first Spanish track Mi Amore, T3ars, Scars, Take Me To The Underground & Hungry.

Shyla's vocals are full of deeply moving songs about love and life and will capture your imagination and take you on her 1st album. This album features easy listening, smooth dance sound, catchy tunes and modern pop from Grammy award winning producer/composer Rob Davis. Melancholy will be released on 21 April via THE DANCE DIVISION

Shyla Roe is a diverse young artist, born in London & raised in southern Spain in a uniquely diverse family. She enjoys experimenting with genres & languages alike making her music both inclusive and multicultural. Roe took interest in music at an incredibly young age performing at any given chance throughout her schooling years & representing Sotogrande International for multiple charity events including Gibraltar world music festival 2015.
At just 13 she started recording and before long was writing her own songs building from freestyles she’d tape. After 3 years the industry started to take notice and Shyla was signed for a management deal with DJL Management London, various major, as well as mid-sized record labels, started showing their interest in her work shortly thereafter. In 2017 she moved to Brighton to pursue her musical education in vocals & song writing & is now studying the Production Degree at BIMM University.
Shyla has always managed to combine her devotion for music with her academic pressures. Whilst studying, Roe also carried out extensive charity work in locations like Spain & Uganda, even participating in the Modern United Nations projects to highlight some of their humanitarian crises. Shyla aims to spread awareness, a message via her music to help tackle & aid ongoing humanitarian & environmental issues. Proceeds from her gigs & events as well as her brand will help support specific matters in the hope that together we can make change.

Shyla Roe es una joven artista, nacida en Londres y criada en el sur de España en una familia singular. Le gusta experimentar con géneros e idiomas por igual, haciendo que su música sea inclusiva y multicultural. Roe se interesó por la música a una edad increíblemente temprana, actuando en cualquier oportunidad que se le presentaba a lo largo de sus años escolares y representando a Sotogrande International en múltiples eventos benéficos, incluyendo el festival de música mundial de Gibraltar de 2015.

A los 13 años empezó a grabar y en poco tiempo ya escribía sus propias canciones a partir de los freestyles que grababa. Después de 3 años, la industria comenzó a tomar nota y Shyla fue contratada para un acuerdo de gestión con DJL Management London. Varios sellos discográficos importantes, así como de tamaño medio, comenzaron a mostrar su interés en su trabajo poco después. En 2017 se trasladó a Brighton para continuar su formación musical en voz y composición de canciones y ahora está estudiando el Grado de Producción en la Universidad BIMM.

Shyla siempre ha logrado combinar su devoción por la música con la presión académica. Mientras estudiaba, Roe también llevó a cabo una amplia labor benéfica en lugares como España y Uganda, participando incluso en los proyectos de las Naciones Unidas Modernas para poner de relieve algunas de sus crisis humanitarias.

El objetivo de Shyla es difundir un mensaje a través de su música para ayudar a abordar y ayudar a los problemas humanitarios y medioambientales actuales. Las ganancias de sus conciertos y eventos, así como de su marca, ayudarán a apoyar asuntos específicos con la esperanza de que juntos podamos hacer el cambio.
